Kicker KMF12 12" Free-Air Marine Subwoofer (45KMF124, 4-Ohm)

Most boats don't have room for a sub box, and the KMF12 doesn't need one. This 12-inch free-air subwoofer mounts directly into a panel and uses the air space behind it as its enclosure. That means you can put real bass under a helm, in a gunwale or in a seat base without giving up storage. Its 5.5-inch mounting depth fits where enclosed subs won't.

It's built for South Florida conditions. Kicker tests the KM sub line to ASTM B117 (200-hour salt fog) and ASTM G154 (400-hour UV). The injection-molded polypropylene cone, co-molded Santoprene surround and polymer basket are made to handle sun, spray and humidity. A protective terminal cap and stainless mounting hardware keep the install clean and corrosion-free.

This is the 4-ohm version (45KMF124). That makes it easy to pair with a marine amp channel or bridge a 4-channel amp. Kicker recommends about 175 watts RMS. If you want it to light up after sunset, add the KMG12 LED grille.

Best for: center consoles, bay boats, pontoons and wake boats that want deeper bass without a box.
